My friend Wendy took this photo of Clara and author/storyteller Coleen Salley at the reading at Wallace Books today. What a character. It was practically our own personal event--besides Clara and friend Josefina, I think only one other boy was there at the start and then just one or two more kids trickled in afterward. Too bad for everyone, because she is so great! And the kids got their books signed with personal notes, received a free CD of Coleen reading one of her Epossumondas stories, and got some Epossomondas stickers. What luck! And...notice Clara sat on her lap after the story. Eat your heart out, Santa! :)
