Catching Up

You'd think that being trapped inside for 9 days would have provided me with plenty of opportunities to update the blog, but not so much. The surest way to make certain every set of sheets and towels in your house gets washed is to have a 2-yr-old throwing up for 12 hours, so first there was a lot of laundry. Then we read about 10,000 books. Four times each. The little invalid finally seems on the mend, though not yet 100%. Amy and I also got sick, fortunately not as badly as the poor little miss. But we've been keeping busy reading, cooking, and taking an occasional walk (or stroller ride). Now that she'll eat again Clara and I made the most ridiculously delicious granola today from the "Salad People" cookbook by Mollie Katzen. She loved the picture recipe directions, and I could have eaten the whole batch. Yum.

The girl has good taste in literature--this year's Caldecott winner.

Mama's idea of a complete outfit (thanks, Grammy, for the new spring dress!!!!).

The vegetable garden--comin' along!

A very proud little chef--her first time getting to use a knife (table, not sharp) to cut on her own. She was great!
