March Fourth

Clara and Sophia saw March Fourth today, Portland's own New Orleans-style marching band. It was the most crowded event we've ever attended at the Crystal Ballroom, which is saying something! It was a wild, elbow-to-elbow mass of fans of all ages, sprinkled with performers on stilts, jugglers, acrobats, dancers and more. Too bad we didn't get a photograph of the poodles on stilts! (People dressed as poodles, not actual poodles). We were all exhausted by the time we left, but it was worth it to see Clara's hilarious dancing. You can see in the photos that she had a hard time taking her eyes off the performers for long.
