Sand Play-doh

Dana planned some fun activities for the kids this week, including painting rocks to make little fish and making sand play-doh, which has a very interesting texture. Can't remember the exact recipe Dana used (ours had cornstarch, I know), but one I found online is made as follows:
Mix together 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, 1 cup water and a few drops of vegetable oil. Add ½ to ¾ cups sand until the dough is the desired texture.

This website has a rather unbelievable number of weird dough, gak, flubber, etc. recipes (including a different sand dough recipe) if you're interested in trying out some new styles. Good fun, especially as the rainy days set in.
