It's been a fun and joyful week here at the McAuley house. Clara's special friend Sophia's nanny went on her honeymoon, so we got to have Sophia over three days this week. Clara also went over to Sophia's on a fourth day, her first time being taken care of away from home. The girls are two weeks apart and were so cute and funny together. Clara blew kisses to Sophia in the car and gave her 'pats,' a gesture she usually reserves for her moms or favorite bear. They did all they could to make each other laugh at lunchtime and took turns climbing in and out of every chair in the house. We went to some library storytimes and to the science museum's toddler playground, they ate each other's lunches and danced their funny toddler dances. Because of how close they are in age and their similarities it was for me like a little window into what a day might have been like with Ellery and Olivia, which was an incredible gift. It's so fun to watch the kids starting to connect and communicate with each other.
