Countdown to School
Tonight I went to my first parent night on the other side of the table, so to speak. Very weird! But Clara's school is a charming little place. She is going to be so enchanted by all those adorable tiny little spoons and trays and pitchers in a Montessori classroom. She is going to have a hard time staying away from the pincushions until she's been invited to use them. And the lacing beads. And the little picture cards. But she's going to love it, I'm totally confident. We are slowly but surely trying to get ready around here.
A former pajama bag, now a house for her spare set of clothes she keeps at school. Hooray for fabric crayons!
More fabric crayon fever around here--napkins for her lunch.
Trying out some new recipes for lunches--these are our version of potato-sausage pockets from an old issue of MS Kids. Very tasty hot and fresh from the oven, not sure yet how they'll survive a freeze and reheat. We'll find out!
And Clara, trying to look like a candidate for a fall miniBoden catalog. Who can resist a new hat and scarf?
