Clara had a whirlwind Easter weekend in Seattle. Highlights were:
-a pancake breakfast and egg hunt at the Seattle Tennis Club (you can see she looks ready to go at first and then not so thrilled in mama's arms--as soon as someone in a giant bunny suit appeared, all thoughts of egg hunting were over. "Rabbit! Scared!" said Clara. No egg hunting for this clingy missy.)
-a very funny naptime wakeup where instead of her usual call for mama a little voice came over the monitor calling, "Kirstin? Kirstin? Kirstin!"
-a yummy Easter dinner made by Grandpa and attended by Grandma and Grandpa, Clara, Mom and Mama, and Grandma's nephew Tim.
-an Easter present from Grandma and Grandpa, little shoes and play food for Clara's doll and a nightgown that matches one of Baby's outfits.
-playing with the dogs Trixie and Zoe, Clara's favorites.
-opening the Easter basket. Bunny did get a big fat hug in the car on the way home, but she wasn't immediately popular. Cast aside, in fact, during the basket exploration for a handful of Easter grass! Eggs filled with rabbit cookies, however, were a big hit. I thought they'd last for days--she ate every one within an hour. And she loved the little blank book inside the activity kit.
-a second little egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpas, this time sans scary bunny. She still asked about him though before accepting her basket, just to make sure he wasn't going to turn up when she went outside.
